Education Qualification
Candidates must have passed their Secondary School Examination (10th Standard) from an approved board in order to apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2025. Additionally, candidates should have completed at least the tenth grade in the local language of the postal circle for which they are applying.
In addition to academic credentials, candidates should have a basic understanding of computers and be able to use laptops, smartphones, and other devices. Application Fees

Selection Process
Candidates are chosen solely on the basis of their qualifications. There isn’t an interview or written test. The grades earned in the tenth grade will be used to create the merit list. Higher levels of education won’t be given more consideration. Grades will be converted to marks using the board’s specified formula if the tenth standard mark sheet includes grades rather than marks. Priority will be assigned in the event of a tie in marks according to the following standards:
- Preference will be given to older applicants.
- Preference will be given according to category (ST, SC, OBC, UR, etc.) if the ages are equal.
- Gender preference will be given to female candidates over male candidates if there is still a tie.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for document verification following the creation of the merit list. Original copies of the candidates’ identification documents, caste certificate (if applicable), educational credentials, and other necessary paperwork must be submitted. They will get a provisional appointment letter after verification is completed successfully.
